EMERGING VISUAL ARTIST BASED IN INDIA (MUMBAI) AND ROMANIA
SIDDHI S. PIRIIANU (b. 1999, Mumbai) is an emerging visual artist whose practice explores the intersection of personal incident, cultural displacement, abstract expression, and philosophical inquiry. Currently living and working between India (Mumbai) and Romania, she draws from a rich tapestry of her own cultural differences that shape her distinctive artistic voice. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Art- Painting from the prestigious
Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, in 2022.
Siddhi's work is also spontaneous and the intuitive, often characterised by bold, gestural brushstrokes, vivid colour palettes, and layered textures. Her abstract compositions delve into the themes of impermanence, identity, hidden emotions and observing the patterns that structures ones personality.
Her creative process is both meditative and experimental, allowing emotions to guide the evolution of each piece. Through the interplay of colour, form, and rhythm, her paintings evoke a sense of movement, detachment and transformation, inviting viewers to engage with the work on both an emotional and introspective level. Her dynamic approach reflects her belief that art is not just a visual experience but a dialogue between artist, the artwork, and the audience.
